BSE Sensex 266 points down

BSE Sensex 266 points down

BSE Sensex ended sharply lower on Tuesday, extending its losses to a second successive day, as a sell-off in Japan and uncertainty about economic reforms in Greece hurt sentiment and prompted investors to indulge in some heavy selling.
Indian stock markets  ended down 266.44 points or 1.1% at 24,020.98, after plunging to a low of 23,919.47. The Nifty50 of the National Stock Exchange closed at 7298.20, losing 89.05 points or 1.21%, after declining to a low of 7275.15. Both Sensex and the Nifty hit their lowest levels since 21 January 2016.
